PLANT (People Learning About Nature in Tayport), a sub-group of Tayport Community Trust (TCT), is looking for a part-time Development Worker to deliver an exciting Fife-wide partnership project – Climate Action Fife, of which Greener Kirkcaldy is the lead partner.
This ambitious 5-year climate action project has various themes, encouraging individuals, households, community groups and businesses to make Fife a greener and fairer place to live. PLANT takes the lead on developing climate-friendly gardens, engaging with other Fife groups to promote and share good practice.
We are looking for an enthusiastic networker with a proven track record of working with community groups and experience of developing and delivering events and training. You should have some knowledge of community gardening and a good knowledge of environmental issues and the climate emergency. As a member of the PLANT team, you will promote understanding of the climate emergency, and with other groups, deliver climate friendly learning events to the public and to other gardening groups.
Hours of work:
21 hours per week (0.6 full-time equivalent), but we would consider requests for fewer hours
Salary:
£12.83/hour
